Education: Building Madrasas/Schools: A Holistic Approach to Learning
This program is dedicated to establishing educational institutions that thoughtfully integrate Islamic and secular curriculum with contemporary knowledge. A significant challenge in many African regions is limited access to quality education, particularly one that also incorporates essential religious values, with some historical contexts showing discrimination against Muslim students seeking secular education. There's also a recognized "Islamic knowledge deficit" globally. Our solution is to build madrasas and schools that provide a holistic education, emphasizing critical thinking, personal growth, and positive contributions to society, addressing the duality between modern schooling and traditional Islamic education. The pursuit of knowledge is foundational in Islam, beginning with the very first revelation to Prophet Muhammad (SAW): "Read!" (Quran 96:1). The Prophet also declared, "Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim." (Ibn Majah
