Qurbani (Udhiyah): A Sacrifice of Devotion and Sharing

Our Qurbani program, observed during Eid al-Adha, involves the ritual sacrifice of an animal and the compassionate distribution of its meat to those in need. This program is particularly impactful in addressing food insecurity and ensuring that less fortunate families in Africa can joyfully participate in the festive occasion. It powerfully emphasizes sharing and strengthens communal bonds. This act of devotion commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's profound obedience to Allah and symbolizes gratitude and submission. The Quran mentions the significance of this sacrifice: "And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols of Allah; for you therein is good" (Quran 22:36).
